Grad Student Support Group: An 8-Week Support Group for Therapists-in-Training

Graduate school is a profound—and often exhausting—experience. It stretches you emotionally, mentally, and physically, and at times, it can feel nearly impossible to juggle it all and still be a whole human being.

This group is intended to be a supportive container while you move through school, explore how you want to show up in your clinical work, and reconnect with who you are outside of it—as a person, not just a student or future therapist.

Together, we’ll unpack things like imposter syndrome, intentional self-care, and the everyday challenges of grad school and internship life while navigating the distress of the current political climate, the strain of capitalism, climate crisis, and more.

You'll have space to share what’s coming up for you in the process, feel understood, and be supported in community as you prepare to move into your career.

There will be a mix small breakout groups with larger group discussions to foster deeper connection and collaboration along the way.

This group might be for you if:

  • You're looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process the emotional and logistical weight of graduate school.

  • You want to explore imposter syndrome and build confidence in your ability to hold space and create safety in the therapy room.

  • You’re craving a sense of community with others who get it—the overwhelm, the uncertainty, and the passion that brought you here.

  • You’re seeking connection with future colleagues while navigating the complexities of this moment and how politics and the climate crisis may be impacting you as both a person and healer.

  • You want room to reflect on your evolving therapist identity and the human behind the role.

  • You're interested in cultivating self-care practices that feel sustainable and rooted in your actual needs—not just another task on your to-do list.

  • You’re curious about how to stay grounded in your values as you learn, grow, and prepare to enter the field.

Associate Therapist Support Group: An 8-Week Support Group for Pre-licensed Clinicians

The journey toward licensure is both meaningful and demanding. As an associate therapist, you’re navigating the realities of clinical work, supervision, and the emotional toll of holding space for others while also navigating the current political moment, the strain of capitalism, climate crisis, and more.

It’s a lot, and it can be hard to find spaces that honor both your development as a therapist and your humanity.

This group is designed as a supportive container for pre-licensed associates to process the challenges of early-career clinical work. Whether you're wrestling with imposter syndrome, seeking more sustainable self-care, or simply craving community with others who understand the nuances of this phase—you’re not alone.

Together, we’ll hold space for the messy, beautiful, and deeply human process of being a therapist. There will be a mix small breakout groups with larger group discussions to create space for connection, conversation, and support.
